Hello, I’m Bea.
I am an accredited counsellor/psychotherapist, with over 10 years’ experience in supporting mental health and well-being. Much of my experience has been working with people who have/are experiencing the impact of addiction, trauma and violence, such as domestic and/or sexual abuse. I am also experienced in working with the impact of nervous or anxious thinking/behaviours, bereavement/loss, stress, self-esteem & relationship issues. Understanding the impact that these experiences can have upon a person’s life has helped me develop a compassionate approach to my work. My client work has allowed me to witness the wisdom and strength that is held within each of us along the stages of our healing journey, and sparked my own curiosity around the role of courage and self-compassion in healing.
As an integrative therapist, I work with both person-centred and psychodynamic modalities through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP). I will work with you to understand how the thoughts, feelings and memories of your experiences connect to you in the present and how these ‘parts’ of your personality seek to protect you from deeper traumas or distress. Using mindful and compassionate curiosity to understand these connections, allows your inner strength (‘Self’, the inner power that we all possess) to shine through. It is within these growing moments of compassion and presence of ‘Self’ that healing truly begins.
“The point of therapy isn’t to get rid of anything, but to help it transform” (Richard Schwartz – Founder of IFS)

Hi, I’m John
I am a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist, somatic and Internal Family Systems Practitioner. I believe that we each contain all of the resources necessary to heal our own wounds and introduce positivity, compassion and acceptance into our lives. There are places in each of us which feel too painful to visit alone, memories and experiences that have left deep scars and affected us in ways we may not even realise. I can offer you the security of knowing that you can explore your system in a safe way, without any judgement or shame, gaining a greater understanding and sense of self-compassion.
I have several years’ experience working in the mental health and well-being field, addressing such issues as childhood trauma, sexual abuse, addiction, anxiety, depression and loss. By working together, we can look past these labels, address the wounded parts of your system, and reintroduce your loving self where it’s needed.

The number of sessions required & their frequency varies depending on individual need.
We recommend having weekly sessions for the first 6 weeks so that we can build a strong therapeutic relationship, creating a stable base for the work. Sessions can then be reviewed and adjusted to suit your needs.
It is important to us that you find the right counsellor, as the therapuetic relationship is a vital element to the process. We will make space for ongoing reviews so that we ensure that we are meeting your therapuetic needs in the right way. We also welcome feedback from you so that we can address any queries that you may have. Should you feel that our sessions aren't the right fit, then we will work with you to complete our work and signpost you to other therapists if that is required.
